So we're going camping this weekend, and by this weekend, I mean tonight through Sunday.
First off a little back info -
1. We live in Central Oregon. AT&T does not officially cover our area, but we still get full coverage here. We're on AT&T because my husband is a tech whore and absolutely NEEDED to own an iphone. (iphone = AT&T)
Since AT&T doesn't officially cover central oregon, there are no AT&T stores anywhere nearby. Closest ones are 3 hours away.
We have a friend who's parents are campground hosts. They live in their RV on the campgrounds up in Mt Hood next to a very pretty river and it's all sceanic and such.
The campground in question is about 40 minutes from an AT&T store.
Tomorrow the new iPhone launches. Starting to see the connection?
So I'm getting dragged out in the butt-nowhere to 'camp' just so that my husband has an excuse to be close enough to an AT&T store on launch, to upgrade to the new iphone.
And I really don't want to go camping.
Or get a new phone. T_T
Or pay the extra $20 a month for the new phone's extra 3G service THAT WE WON'T EVEN GET CUZ WE LIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF CENTRAL-CRAP-OREGON.
-_-
...or loose my text messages. *sigh* New plan costs more and has no text messages. *grumble grumble*
Did I mention I don't even want to go camping?
Oh, and that friend who's parents do the camp hosting thing? He's coming with. And another friend. So it'll be 4 adults and a toddler crammed into a prius for 3 hours.
All we have in the back hatch right now is the tent and it's already half full. I know the lugage and crap I've packed will take up the rest of the space, and who knows how much crap David and Jon (the friends mentioned above) will be brining. -_-
This is so damned stressful.
Oh, and to top things off, yesterday Justin (husband) backed into a brick light thingy and scratched up the rear passenger side corner of the car. It's all superficial - scratches and a small dent, and the plastic on the taillight cracked - but he's TOTALLY BUMMED about it.
Our insurance is comprehensive so it'd cover it - except we have a $1000 deductible. blarg. There goes savings.
*sigh*
and if all that wasn't enough, yesterday Kaya walked through the neighbors new mulch without shoes on, and got a zillion little splinters in her feet.
I had to spend the next 30 mintues with a crying 2-year old, picking them out one-by-one with tweezers, and it still looks like theres a bunch left in there. But at least now she's not crying about them.
Gaaaaaggg... too tired.
