Doctor Who Wooden Engraved Moment Prop by Athey Doctor Who Wooden Engraved Moment Prop by Athey
This is based on 'The Moment' from the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special.  It's a sentient doomsday device that can judge you for using it.  This version is a 'desk or shelf-sized prop' and comes in at about 5.5in square.  It's stained and finished and sanded and finished and sanded and finished etc. until it had 5 passes of poly and was very smooth and shiny.  So it was a pain in the ass.

I already sold this one, but the nice thing about making stuff with a laser-cutter is that you can always make more.  Getting the whole thing designed, vectored, laid-out, tested, fixed, laid-out better, and assembled is the really time-consuming part.  Now I can just put in the wood, cut and etch, stain and assemble, minus the braining and trial-and-error portion.

In any case, if anyone really wanted one, I could make more.  But I don't have any extra on hand right now, so if anyone really does want another one, it'll require about a 1-2 week wait while I make the thing.

Any chance I could get the laser cut files to make my own (not to sell).

If I had the monies, I would ask for one.  Unfortunately I'm poor.

But seriously, I really like the design of it.  It looks like the pieces fit together like a puzzle.  You should make a seventh optional piece with the big red button on it!
