I think that those should be default to their max values anyways... cause i figure if your using max, you prolly already have a decent computer to deal with high res textures... and if not, those are the people that should have to go lower the values. I see myself having to set that alot, everytime I install the program... (which isn't alot, but it's annoying when I notice the textures suck, haha... but then again when my scene gets too comples it does bogg it down a bit... maybe gotta find a happy medium =)
